Darlings, real life has taken a hold of us. All the lovelies we have missed are highly amusing. Fashion Blogger week drama seems to have been abound. Sweeties, we are sorry to miss such torrid drama but, alas, our first lives come first.

Rumour has it, a male freebie blogger is getting too big for his prims and making demands for more male freebie from designers. (True)

Rumour has it, Elle and Bianca sleep in the nude. (Wouldn't you like to know?)

Rumour has it, a fashion diva needs a reality check for believing that everyone truly adores her. (True)

Rumour has it, a pregnant goldfish is called a twit. (True)

Rumour has it, a washed-up fashion blogger has been seen licking arse with a sloshy designer. (True)

Rumour has it, a particular designer is retiring to live life as an alt. (Maybe)

Rumour has it, a snarky blogger is up in arms over criticism for their latest foray. (False)

Rumour has it, a child-sex play nutter is pleading with people to be their friend. (True & Gross)

Rumour has it, Plurk is secretly run by those at Linden Lab. (False, I hope)

Rumour has it, a C list designer was spitting mad over the current round of attacks from the nutball du jour. (True)

Rumor has it, our suspicion about the fake death turned out to be very accurate. (True)

Faking Death on the Internet: Part 2

Perhaps the idea came from our very blog last month on faking death on the internet but yet another denizen of Second Life has passed away. Or did she? The entire blog announcing her death is dripping with all those telltale signs of pseuocide. I am not saying she is not really dead and did not die under those tragic circumstances but I am saying that to take the word of a stranger with full access to her blog and her SL accounts is really taking a leap of faith.

Examining the blog that is not her, the man claims that this is not one of her "mind games" which right away should send off warning bells that this is in fact nothing more than a mind game. He goes on to remind the reader that no one knows him. This mystery man just appears today to announce that a woman who has been missing from SL for a month and a half has died. She is his good friend. They are so very close. They are so very close that he was not aware of her death until 38 days after her alleged death.

Something this tragic will always make the news feeds. They eat this stuff up more than the drama queens of the freebie hating horde. Bianca and I have done an extensive search of the news feeds in both English and French(bless you, Bianca). We have come across many tragic and pregnant French woman who have died within the last 4 months but none with details or names matching this instance.

If we go back my blog on faking death on the internet we find that this announcement of death falls completely within the Clues to a Detecting a False Death:
1. Tragic event with increasing tragic events.
2. A person blogs on their behalf to inform the friends of this tragic event and they have the same writing style as the newly deceased.

With so many cases of faked deaths, illnesses(terminal cancers)and fake heart transplants on SL, how can so many people just blindly believe this to be true without one shred of evidence? Show us the news article. Show us the obituary. Show us the death notice. Until then, I find this entire story hard to swallow.

It is sad to see such an outpouring of emotion from bloggers across the board that are relying solely on this stranger to confirm a death of their colleague.

More oddities: This mysterious person has logged into her plurk account. Why would she have given him her access to all of these things? This stranger who is not her husband has access to all of her online accounts. Most people do not go around giving their passwords out to their blog tech. This smells faker by the minute.

More oddities 2: A pregnant woman was hit by a van in NYC on the 27th of March just 1 week before this alleged incident. This incident received international news coverage with the latest update on the article just a few days ago.
