An Ad Can Kill You

The ads for your products can make or break your business. Yesterday a store of notorious fame released several new hairstyles. From the ads on display, I thought that Bianca and I would have so much fun with them. The models in the ad had harsh, angry faces with icy glares that would freeze even our dear Beelzebub. We discussed how the model looked pissed off to being wearing the hair more than anything else. The designer touted the hair as being "to impress and look amazing" but the ads made me thing the exact opposite. We headed over there to grab some demos and see this horror for ourselves. Shocked, darlings, is the only word I can use to describe our reaction to wearing the demos. The hair was much better than the ads had portrayed them and, in fact, some where quite nice. (This is not sucking up to this store because I personally hate this store.)

Ads are your connections to the buying public. If your ads convey negative feelings then the customers are not going to give the product a chance. In this case they were lucky because demos are available for the consumer to see that the true quality of the hair is not as bad as advertised. While I would not wear the bottom 2 styles for all the euros in the EU, the top 2 style work well and the middle style has its place in the right setting. These styles are not the horror stories that their ads convey. Straying from a shape that looks so angry that you are worried she had a run in with your dear mother-in-law might be the best idea for the next round of ads.

We Are Not Alone

SCD's SL Secrets week 15 has a mysteriously cryptic secret that was about a recent topic covered on this blog. When the fog cleared and the meaning of the secret made sense, darlings, we realized that we are not alone in our theory. It is rather reassuring to know that we are not the only ones who can piece together logical answers from the clues that are presented to us. So to the writer of that secret and to others who grasp its meaning, we tip our caps to you. (insert The X-Files there music here.)

Update: It is fascinating how many people love to beat on a dead horse.

Beautiful Blokes of Orientation Island

We are going to stray from the usual Fug today and begin with the savvy.

Darlings, I had the most interesting conversation with Honor Gothly, one of the new residents that has been wandering our lovely establishment ever since Second Life affair ends in divorce appeared on CNN. She was an absolute delight to speak with and had wonderful things to say about the young men over on Orientation Island.

Honor Gothly: I didnt know they would be that cute. They didnt look that good on the news.

Intrigued by her words, I took myself over to Orientation Island and discovered a bevvy of beautiful blokes to make your mouth water. Most were chatting away and friendly to everyone that was new. I stood to the side in my observation mode and collected some photos for the scrapbook. To these men, thank you for greeting our new blood and making them feel welcome.

Darlings, I know, you want some Fug. This recent influx of new residents that began sometime yesterday is based solely on the prospects of sex in Second Life. We can only hope that this will not be the new trend for our Lindendom. Man and woman meet in virtual world. Man and woman have sex in virtual world. Man and woman meet in fleshy world. Man and woman have sex in fleshy world. Man and woman marry in fleshy world. Man and women marry in virtual world. Man and women get bored. Woman goes to work. Man and woman2 meet in virtual world. Man and woman2 have sex in virtual world. Woman returns from work. Man is caught with his trousers down. Man and woman divorce in virtual world. Man and woman divorce in fleshy world.

We can only hope this is a phase.

To continue the theme...

I simply can't help myself, darlings. When I saw what dear Elle posted, I had to play with this skin for myself. I must say, it certainly is a unique look! Feast your eyes upon my loveliness:

So what do you think? Do I have a long, lucrative career ahead of me as a fashion model?
